WFSC has provided safe sober living housing to over 20,000 women and women with children since its inception in 1987. WFSC is housed in a large Victorian home in mid-city Los Angeles and is in close proximity to public transportation. The Center provides a structured, safe, and secure environment for women as they re-enter society. WFSC seeks to provide affordable transitional housing and support services such as job training, parenting classes, child care, counseling, and peer support needed to transition residents and their families in to productive members of society. WFSC's residents come from a wide range of challenged situations. As a result, many are emotionally and socially unable to support themselves and their families. WFSC's Support Services assist residents with building skills and support systems in a safe, structured and drug-free environment. |
